    In a non-stick frying pan, heat half the oil over medium heat. Add the tofu and fry for 5 minutes, turning frequently until it's golden brown on all sides. Use a slotted spoon to transfer it to a plate and set aside.

    Warm up the remaining oil in the pan on high heat. Cook the onion, pepper, and garlic for 5-6 minutes, until the vegetables start to soften. Incorporate the pineapple, ketchup, vinegar, soy sauce, and 50ml of water, then let it simmer for 1 minute, or until it slightly thickens. Return the tofu to the pan and stir.
  3. Step 3

    Prepare the basmati rice according to the package directions. Present the tofu in bowls alongside the rice, garnished with a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
